Vital lessons..

Some of my life's lessons learnt-through my realtionships .

-People will not always like you.

-People would rather you lie to them that tell them the truth.

-People are rarely going to accept their faults, if they do, honour that, and be humbled by it.

-It is better to like somebody than to love them.

-Race, class, gender- does'nt matter, accept and if you must judge , judge on the basis of individuality.

-When you have been wronged by someone- and you shut up- they would babble, telling judy, and jack explaining what they did- as if their're haunted by the demons of their actions. 

-It is not selifish nor does it deface your humility- if you stay away from people who are toxic to character. 

-There is still so much more to be learnt, and so much more livng  to do....

As I live- I must die

Too often, we are caught in what we have to do in order to acheive things
 we fear we might loose.
So attached are we to this mortal flesh- that even though we go to grave yards time and time again.
Reality never grips us that so too must we- soon be.
Live yes, be concious of your decisions, allow time to react to it effects before  you act.
 but be anxious not.
Live, dance, drink wine, indugle in the estacy of romance, play with your kids, do things you are passionate about.
Let your work be  festive, a celebration- each day let it's rewards oze out of you  like dripping blood out of a wound, yet you feel not it's pain.
People will talk about you after you're gone- you will reflect , as scences of your life flash before your  last breathe. How would you want it to be remembered.

I am off to go deconstruct a dick- among other things a female would deconstruct, when she is in the business of academia.Here I am not buying into to the social constructs that entails gender, but rather facing up to the reality of what we do as academics- we problematize everything.

What does a woman wants- Sex, to be desired, companionship, money/fame,a white picket fence,guess it is something men ask all of the time and for a woman, a question-the answer layered with contraditions. read more in my book -What a woman wants- as one woman, finds herself in all the seemly in between spaces- only to find that what she wants is just that one thing- most times we take for granted.

live life so that when you are no more- you can still live through the stories they tell.
